About the event
The PIL Youth Event in Budapest gathered young participants from across Europe for several days of learning, exchange, and collaboration within the Play it Loud! initiative.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in interactive workshops, group discussions, and collaborative activities exploring diversity, gender equality, and the role of music in promoting inclusion and social change. The sessions created space to reflect on challenges and opportunities within the youth and music sectors, while encouraging participants to share their own experiences and perspectives.
The event also focused on strengthening participants’ skills and confidence as young changemakers. By working together, exchanging ideas, and exploring creative approaches to advocacy through music, participants gained new tools to support more inclusive and equitable music spaces.
Alongside the learning sessions, the event created opportunities for networking, cultural exchange, and connecting with the wider Play it Loud! community. By the end of the week, participants had built new connections across the network and gathered inspiration to bring back to their local communities.
